A Sustainable Electric Catamaran - Hello Slyder 80

Over the last few years we have seen a steady rise in sales of Catamaran yachts and there are a number of factors that explain why but here we are going to look at two of them space and it's double hull.

Lets start with space.

Catamarans are highly attractive to those who are looking for space; since there are two hulls, you effectively double your living area compared to a traditional single hull boat. This is clearly demonstrated on the Slyder 80 with its large 38m2 main saloon and with a headroom of 2.20m inside, this means that the total of 8 guests onboard can make good use of space on the voyage. With all this space, the owner can really make the space their own, giving them more options with furniture, lighting and the overall design.

Secondly, we have a catamarans party piece; the two hulls; because of that, the boat does not require stabilisers like a traditional boat. So if you have not found your sea-legs yet, chartering or purchasing a catamaran is a fantastic option. When the weather turns, catamarans are a lot more manageable, and unlike a traditional boat, with a catamaran, you only need to focus on the horizon.

So now that we know catamarans are way more exciting and appealing than they look, lets look at the Slyder 80.

The boat is expected to be completed in 2024 and with a rather exciting concept. Collaborating with German yacht designer Matthias Krenz, an experienced manufacturer of luxury hybrid catamarans, MAVEA Yachts have created a universally advanced design. Equipped with a serial hybrid drive, PLC electrics and the typically simple operation associated with Slyder catamarans, the SLYDER 80 is also technologically state-of-the-art.

There is no escaping the fact that the Slyder 80 is very sleek and sporty on the outside, but the interior is just, space is just oozing style, so much so that if you showed a picture of the main saloon, most people would think that it was a luxurious apartment in New York.

At the heart of the development was the desire for a fast, fun, luxurious, spacious and future-proof catamaran. Slyder catamarans allow even small crews to sail safely and easily, deliver the highest seaworthiness and quality, as well as provide an ambience in which to feel good at sea. The SLYDER 80 is no exception, plus it has the "Sports-Fly" (SLY-FLY). This was specifically developed for this model and offers space and safety, so giving fellow sailors the opportunity to participate in an exhilarating sailing experience.
