A thriving empire in the heart of the West Coast
In the past nine years, Suzanne Koshnoodi and Max Mulligan, a husband and wife team, have built a flourishing empire in the centre of Barbados' West Coast, encompassing a range of developments, from hospitality to retail. They are Barbados' quickest selling producers, and each of their launches has sold out within two to six weeks of going on sale.
Max and Suzanne are the owners of Grove Group in Barbados. For the past nine years, they have worked together to find, design, and build new developments. Together, Max and Suzanne have created and sold more than £40 million worth of real estate by fusing Max's expertise and keen real estate instincts with Suzanne's exceptional fashion sense.
These properties, which are based in Barbados and expanding on their prosperous empire, which was recently featured on Channel 4's "The Caribbean - Billionaires Paradise," are created to successfully combine the pinnacle of luxury with living. They are cleverly designed with high-tech features for extraordinary lifestyles.
COO & Co-Founder Suzanne says:
“The kids are growing up and the business went from that small first site across the beach to what it is now. A development brand consisting of homes and hotels with future restaurants, wellness centres and retail business - a place for people to come and visit. We're so proud of it all and we're just getting started.”
The couple's epic portfolio of developments, each channelling the idea of luxury and lifestyle, will be unveiled in 2023. Gipsy Grove (also known as Gipsy's), an eatery and Private Beach Members Club, will begin their first foray into the restaurant and retail hospitality sectors. A $100 million development, Eden Grove is a 20-acre eco-mini city with 150 homes, a hotel, a spa and wellness centre, shops, eateries, a sports complex, a movie theatre, and other amenities.
Grove Group Developments has grown into upscale neighbourhoods, designing and constructing residences for customers at £5M+ villas located in Sandy Lane Estate and Apes Hill. Two additional enormous development projects are also presently up for discussion. A 23-unit private residence/hotel with a rooftop in the European manner and breathtaking views of the West Coast will be called Gibbs Grove Hotel. Mullins Grove 2.0 is about to start construction. It will include 21 distinctive one- and two-bedroom beachfront residences that go beyond conventional homes. These residences will have private pools, a restaurant, a wellness centre, a west-facing rooftop terrace café, a cocktail lounge, a kids' club, evening security, reception, and concierge, a gym, and the exclusive Grove Group Beach Club. The homes have all already been sold off-plan.
Max Mulligan, CEO and Co-Founder says:
“We understand the world and travel is changing and how people live. We want to create developments that look to the future – how you want to live in ten years' time. Not to the past”.
The two have grown their brand into a multifaceted business with unmatched reach in the lucrative lifestyle industries of food, family, and house. They have introduced a number of well-regarded properties, including the 52 villas that make up Westmoreland Hills and three finished developments. The homes encourage a healthy outdoor lifestyle and an enviable feeling of community. Each home is artfully detailed with lifestyle in mind, bringing to life in a masterfully balanced interior palette of oak, natural stone, and blended colour tones. This sets the standard for luxury living in Barbados. Each residency is described in-depth with an air of deluxe hotel indulgence.
