Giuseppe "Nino" Farina, the first driver to win the Formula One World Championship, has made a triumphant return to the streets of Monaco, the site of his historic victory 76 years ago. The Automobili Pininfarina Battista Edizione The nephew of Carrozzeria Pininfa Edizione Battistatista "Pinin" Farina served as an inspiration for Nino Farina. Drivers Edoardo Mortara and Nyck de Vries of Mahindra Racing returned to the track in the all-electric super GT that carries his name for an emotional pre-E-Prix 2024 ABB FIA Formula E.

Taking in notable portions like Saine Dévote, Casino Square, and the Grand Hotel Hairpin, they tackled the legendary street circuit—the identical corners that Nino Farina would have encountered in 1948.

Battista Edizione As an homage to the legendary racing driver who was born in Torino, Nino Farina is a limited edition of just five cars. Each of the five cars in the series pays homage to a different turning point in Nino Farina's remarkable racing career, guaranteeing that every collector will be able to call an authentic Italian design masterpiece their own.

With a three-car squad, Nino Farina competed in the inaugural Grand Prix races officially organised by the FIA in 1950. These events are now known as the Formula One World Championship. Among his many remarkable triumphs in a very successful career was his 1948 triumph on the streets of Monte Carlo. His legacy, marked by an unwavering commitment to the sport and a reputation for fearlessness on the track, enthrals fans all around the globe.

Thanks to the special partnership between the two Mahindra Group businesses, Automobili Pininfarina has access to Mahindra Racing's knowledge and resources.

The distinctive front end is painted a deep and rich Rosso Nino red, with a unique livery on the bottom half of the vehicle in Bianco Sestriere and Iconica Blu. The wheels are Glorioso Gold, and there's a striking '01' symbol on the side.

Featuring a Bianco Sestriere pinstripe and the Furiosa Pack—a set of updated carbon fibre components including a front splitter, side blades, and rear diffuser—on the outside, and the Carbon Accent Pack finished in Black Exposed Signature Carbon on the inside, make up the exterior.

The Exterior Jewellery Pack has brushed metal that has been anodized black, and the Goccia roof has dark details as well. This goes well with the black anodized brushed aluminium brake callipers and centre lock rings.

A 'Nino Farina' etching on the headlamp unit—also made of brushed aluminium and anodized black—and a 'Nino Farina' graphic on the driver's side carbon wing are two examples of the subtle details that pay homage to Nino Farina.

Both the driver's and passenger's seats have Black Sustainable Luxury Leather accents, with the former upholstered in Black Alcantara and the latter in Beige Alcantara. On one side of the custom headrests, you can see a gold embroidered laurel wreath and the number "01"; on the other side, you can see the red Automobili Pininfarina "f" emblem. The rear of both seats bears the same Rosso Nino design as the outside.

The external details is echoed by the Iconica Blu seatbelts, which are custom-made with beige and red duo-tone contrast stitching on the dashboard, seats, and central tunnel. Inside, you'll find more black accents, such as brushed metal with a black anodized finish for the inside jewellery.
