Cevin Parker transforms the McLaren Artura in Art.
The renowned German artist Cevin Parker and the British luxury supercar manufacturer McLaren Automotive have created a one-of-a-kind design for the McLaren Artura hybrid supercar.
Modern abstract artist Parker, a self-taught artist from Berlin, is quickly building a following and recently shown his work at the IncubARTor exhibition in Hamburg.
The Artura, a high-performance hybrid supercar in McLaren's first series production, embodies the combination of art and cutting-edge technology. The term Artura, which combines the words "art" and "future," symbolizes the seamless fusion of cutting-edge technology with gorgeous design.
The Artura offers a thrilling driving experience with its strong V6 engine and rapid torque from its electric motor. The car's sleek, aerodynamic shape, which draws inspiration from contemporary art, serves as the ideal backdrop for the iconic partnership between McLaren and Cevin Parker.
"We are delighted to reveal this exclusive collaboration with Cevin Parker. Parker's extraordinary talent and deep understanding of art have allowed him to create a truly remarkable design that perfectly captures the spirit of the Artura. His use of colour – particularly the vibrant combination of purple and yellow – symbolises creativity, individuality, energy and optimism, all of which resonate with the Artura’s dynamic personality.” Bastian Luehmann, Market Director Central Europe, McLaren Automotive
Parker's abstract art complements McLaren's strong and contemporary design language beautifully, and his innovative thinking and use of cutting-edge technology, such as augmented reality, perfectly reflect the company's values. Also, being a keen automotive fan, Parker's work perfectly portrays the essence of emotion and ephemeral moments, a topic that is also present in his own life. The Artura embodies these feelings, and its design shows the constant effort to balance beauty and performance.
“I am truly thrilled on having the opportunity to work together with McLaren and to bring two of my biggest passions together: art and supercars. I am excited to see the public’s reaction to this project.” Cevin Parker, Artist.
McLaren and Cevin Parker photographed the distinctive Artura in some of Parker's most inspired Berlin settings to display their joint artistic achievement. Also, the vehicle will be on exhibit at occasions all year long such ART Basel Miami and Palma des Mallorca's Nit D'Arte.
