Ferrari: Codes of Speed & Performance
The new Ferrari Autumn/Winter 22/23 campaign features a variety of exclusive content that translates the brand’s signature codes of speed and performance.
The campaign’s visual aesthetic echoes the fashion show’s narrative aesthetic by praising the featured looks and the people behind them in an effort to honor and further Rocco Iannone’s artistic vision.
The photos are meant to portray the new Ferrari Men’s and Women’s collection in terms of technological advancement and creative risk-taking. Images in the campaign feature holographic effects that give the impression that the subject is blurred or in motion; this strategy is meant to evoke the product’s hybridization of forms and materials.
A subtle magnetic allure permeates the futuristic ambiances, expressing the same rapid-fire mentality as the season’s outerwear selections by fusing the concrete quality of tailoring with the high definition of the electrical and digital worlds.
The interplay of light and shadow is emphasised through the manipulation of lines and borders, while the sophistication of textures and silhouettes continues to leave a lasting impression in the foreground.
Through the use of the 3D morphing animation technique, the campaign video showcases the imaginative connection between the worlds of fashion and technology. The collision and harmonic convergence of physical, abstract, and virtual universes creates a bold, multidimensional message composed of frames, images, iconic elements, and design symbols.
The new marketing push is an ode to the Ferrari ethos and aesthetic, highlighting the significance of sartorial details, glossy finishes, and fine, responsible materials like organic recycled fibers and natural fabrics.
Among the collection’s most eye-catching pieces are a hologram of the logo, an enlarged photograph of technical filaments, and graphic prints derived from thermal scanner grids. The season’s other dominant motifs include a macro camouflage pattern made by dissecting and overlaying the Prancing Horse, the drivers’ uniform-inspired suits and ‘looping’ knitwear, interwoven carbon fiber, black crystal embellishments, and the ‘looping’ knitwear.
Looks that are 100% Made in Italy combine high-quality tailoring with experimental design; these can be complemented by accessories such as sturdy biker boots, metallic pumps, and iconic minibags with high-frequency embossed details.
