In the Spirit of Mountains

The highly anticipated co-branded collection was unveiled at a media sharing session hosted by ARC'TERYX Broadway, a global design firm specialising in technical high-performance apparel and equipment, and Songtsam, a luxury boutique hotel group. The collection is the offspring of a five-year strategic collaboration between ARC'TERYX and Songtsam, and it carries forward the two companies' shared alpine DNA and commitment to providing customers with the best possible outdoor exploration experience. Kawagarbo, the highest peak in the Meili Snow Mountain Range, served as inspiration for this capsule collection, the release of which showcases the concrete efforts of two luxury labels to promote the peaceful coexistence of humans and the environment. Famous nature photographer Guy Fattal and Songtsam's Director of International Sales and Marketing, Florence both spoke at the event, offering their perspectives on the continuing relationship between humans and the natural world.

"Unexpected situations always occur in every photography project, no matter how much planning and pre-judgment of the route and climate. Through severe cold, strong wind and snowstorm, along steep slopes, cliffs, glaciers and other difficult terrains, ARC'TERYX has always been my most determined alliance", said Guy Fattal, "The co-branding between Songtsam and ARC'TERYX is inspired by the Chinese mountain culture, which is truly unique and monumental for those of us who love mountain climbing."

The co-branded Kawagarbo Series was shown in detail, which was one of the best parts of the New York media sharing event. Media representatives from around the world visited the ARC'TERYX Broadway store in New York to try on the entire co-branded collection, hear from Guy Fattal and Florence about how they each interpreted the Kawagarbo Series, and learn about the history and future of the partnership between the two companies. Florence highlighted, "We are excited to inspire and encourage our industry partners to live in harmony with mountains, nature through this global media sharing session of the ARC'TERYX x Songtsam collection."

The Kawagarbo Series, made by ARC'TERYX and Songtsam, is named after the first of the thirteen peaks in the Meili Snow Mountain Range. It comes in bright colours like Oracle Yellow, Daze Yellow, Bordeaux Red, and Kingfisher Blue. Popular items from ARC'TERYX, such as the men's Beta AR jacket, gamma mx hoody, and aerios 15 backpack, are exquisite examples of these colorways. In addition, the Beta AR Jacket Men's features an exclusive logo depicting the thirteen summits of the Meili Snow Mountain embossed on the inner left pocket, giving the product its own symbolic and figurative significance.

Building on its alpine DNA and inheriting the brand's outstanding performance, ARC'TERYX provides consumers with a one-of-a-kind, ultimate outdoor wearing experience by analysing the cultural imagery that people living at the base of the mountain have collected over the years. Since its inception, ARC'TERYX has remained true to its four founding principles—EVOLVE, COMMIT, LIVE IT, and DO RIGHT—by offering customers goods of unwavering quality, innovative design, and expert craftsmanship to guarantee their safety while exploring the outdoors and its boundless potential.

All humans should share a worry for the environment. ARC'TERYX, as an ambassador of the world's premier outdoor companies, is committed to making a beneficial contribution to global sustainability in all that it does. The Kawagarbo Series is a collaboration between the outdoor alpine tale and a local hotel brand that showcases their common values and goals. Since 2021, when the ARC'TERYX ReBIRDTM project was officially announced, ARC'TERYX and Songtsam have been in agreement, pledging a portion of their revenue to fund the work of a mountain clean-up squad organised by locals. As more people seek out breathtaking vistas and explore perilous summits, so has the amount of trash they leave behind. The local mountain clean-up squad is adamant about clearing the mountain of this trash, even if it means employing human and mule labour to achieve the goal.

ARC'TERYX is taking action in support of one of its four pillar principles, "DO RIGHT," by launching a "ARC'TERYX mountain clean-up team" and donating 15 mules to a local mountain clean-up team. Actions that directly benefit the local environment are essential if we are to fulfil our dedication to human and natural harmony and sustainable growth. Since 2021, ARC'TERYX's sustainable growth and practises around ReBIRDTM have been documented by the ancient mountains and rivers. ARC'TERYX has stuck to its original purpose and commitment since signing the five-year strategic partnership with Songtsam, all the while exploring and practising the core spirit of ReBIRDTM.

In order to fully appreciate nature, one must experience its immensity and splendour. As shown by its ReBIRDTM sustainability initiative, ARC'TERYX values and respects the natural world. The New York City debut of the co-branded collection with Songtsam, as well as the company's pledge of a contribution and support to the local mountain clean-up team, is evidence of the benevolent consumer market's concern for the long-term health of both people and the planet. We share a common fate with the natural world, and this has always been the case. ARC'TERYX plans to keep collaborating with like-minded companies so that we can bring people together, discover the true glory of the natural world, and create a world where anything is possible.
