JUST OUT: Venom F5 Roadster

Only a few months ago, the UK hosted the European launch of the Venom F5 Roadster from the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator, at Salon Privé. The car was shown to the world for the first time in August during Monterey Car Week in California.

The open-air Venom F5 is very different from the fixed-top Venom F5 it’s based on, even though it’s nearly identical mechanically.

A new engine cover with a glass viewing window is found in the Venom F5 Roadster, which spotlights the massive ‘Fury’ V8 engine in all its glory. The large glass panel can resist winds greater than 300 mph and temperatures greater than 1000 degrees Fahrenheit.

The unique wheels, badging and work-of-art sculpture of a sculptural pedestal are part of the open top hypercar. From above, you can see the blade legs that trace the shape of the rear deck lid and the side profile that uses the hypercar’s bodyside air intake form for inspiration. The script on the front face of the base is the same as the car’s H nose badges, and it is on a streamlined stand.

Salon Privé will have a 1,817 bhp monster with a twin-turbocharged 6 that can reach a top speed of 300 mph. The V8 engine is 6 litres. The Venom F5 sold out in 24 hours, following the Monterey Car Week. The team expects a warm reception from visitors to the UK event as a result of the global attention brought to the car at this year’s Car Week.

John Hennessey, company founder and CEO: “The UK is a very special market for Hennessey with London a major financial center and a hub for global travel, not to mention the passion and enthusiasm of European hypercar buyers. The Venom F5 Roadster is obviously about extreme performance, but it also takes hypercars as an artform to a new level – so, the premium nature of Salon Privé is ideal for its European debut.”

9 F5 hypercars were built for customers and the Texas-based hypercar creator expects the total production to pass 12 units by the end of the year. Production rate will increase in 2023 due to full-scale production of the Roadster.
