Local Brands Leading the Charge At DIBS 2024.

The Dubai International Boat Show, the biggest and most prestigious marine lifestyle event in the region, is celebrating 30 years of serving as a platform to promote the UAE's domestic marine sector internationally. Until Sunday, March 3, at Dubai Harbour, a number of the country's most cutting-edge brands will be on display, proudly displaying their newest luxury lifestyle products.

The Proudly UAE part of the 30th Dubai International Boat Show is located between Hypercar Avenue and the event's dedicated Fishing Village. It amplifies the country's maritime history and showcases the greatest locally built boats, nautical items, and innovations.

Al Suwaidi Marine (ASM), based in Dubai, recently introduced a larger 36-foot yacht and a smaller 31-foot sport craft. It was an easy choice for ASM Chairman Mohammed Al Suwaidi to use this year's event to introduce the two boats.

The prestigious Dubai Police has wowed local and international visitors with its fleet of premium sea-based vessels.

“This is the biggest boat show in the region, so for me, every boatbuilder should participate,” said Al Suwaidi. “The title ‘Proudly UAE’ is very nice because we are indeed proud to be from the Emirates, and we’re also proud to introduce our products here for the first time. Launching our new vessels at Dubai International Boat Show ensures we attract more attention, which they deserve because they’re very good quality craft made right here in the UAE.”

Two beautiful racing boats, created and built by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) in conjunction with Dubai's renowned Victory Team, have attracted a large number of visitors. In addition to exhibiting and spearheading activation, DIMC is in charge of the Dubai Fishing Competition for Kingfish and Cobia, the event's exclusive freestyle and HydroFly contests, and more.

Famous for its collection of jaw-dropping supercars, the esteemed Dubai Police have captivated both locals and tourists with their collection of first-rate watercraft. The fleet showcases the excellence of the UAE National Day celebrations with its award-winning racing Jetski, which has participated in world championships, and the official patrol boat, in addition to a groundbreaking jet car that can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h on water.

Among the many potential customers interested in purchasing boats from the United Arab Emirates, Al Fajer Marine has heard from numerous people all over the world, including those in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Europe. At the event, the company unveiled both the Sunrise 60 and the S-Class 90. When it comes to speed, the former can reach 45 knots at 92 feet, and the latter can reach 27 knots at 61.5 feet.

At a time when Dubai's population and infrastructure are establishing it as an essential sales point for superyacht manufacturers worldwide, Gulf Craft, a legacy show partner with 15 vessels at this year's event, emphasised the significance of the Dubai International Boat Show reaching its 30th anniversary milestone.

Abeer AlShaali, Deputy Managing Director of Gulf Craft, said: "For Gulf Craft, Dubai International Boat Show is our home show. We feel a strong connection to the event - we believe in it, and we believe in the power it has for the entire industry. I have been personally having meetings since the day before the show with different stakeholders around the world, talking about the importance of this show. It brings together clients, boat builders, suppliers, associations, like SYBAss. I think it's a great opportunity for us in the MENA region to really discuss what's going on in our industry. This is where we get to display our boats and impress our clients and the wider city of Dubai which has really opened its arms to the marine industry."
