Rolls-Royce reveals ‘Spirit of Expression’ Collection.

As the first-ever masterpieces to emerge from the Private Office Shanghai, which opened last year, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has presented 'Spirit of Expression,' three beautiful Bespoke commissions of Ghost Extended, Phantom Extended, and Spectre. Starting on Thursday, April 25th, these breathtaking custom-built marvels will be unveiled to the public at the 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024).

Commissions in the "Spirit of Expression" style are a great reflection of the tastes of a younger, more progressive Chinese clientele. These clients are worldwide trendsetters who want to have their super-luxury goods made in their own unique style.

Every exterior colorway encapsulates a brief moment from a multitude of breathtaking global locations that consumers from the Greater China area want to visit. Some examples are the breathtaking Cala Luna beach in Sicily, the vibrant Lantana flower in South America, and the magnificent sunsets seen from Boracay Island in the Western Visayas, Philippines. The nocturnal sky above these remarkable locales and the awe-inspiring power of the stars is honoured within each "Spirit of Expression" automobile through a repeating celestial pattern.

These unique commissions are the result of an international creative partnership between the Goodwood-based marque's designers and the Bespoke designer, who is based out of the Rolls-Royce Private Office in Shanghai. Rolls-Royce is utilising its expanding Private Office network to immerse its skilled creatives in global luxury centres. The network is already operational in Goodwood, Dubai, and Shanghai, with further international launches scheduled for 2024. Here, they may go deeper into customer relationships, which in turn improves the marque's Bespoke product and experience, all while relaying crucial regional information to Goodwood, the global headquarters.

The Phantom Extended 'Magnetism' commission, a contemporary take on Rolls-Royce's flagship model, captures the hypnotic atmosphere of a moonlit bay beneath the stars. The Cala Luna Sand and Kabira Blue exterior coachwork's two-tone finish is a nod to moonlight beach sands. Kabira Blue is suggestive of the profound intensity of the horizon when the enormous sea meets the midnight sky. A hand-painted double coachline in Arctic White and Cala Luna Sand completes the exterior.

The intricate Starlight Headliner inside brings the heavenly notion to life with 768 Galileo Blue and 576 White hand-placed "stars" that form the theme. Eight more "shooting stars" provide motion to the design.

An elaborate depiction of the heavenly pattern set in stainless steel adorns the back waterfall. Similarly, the motif can be seen on the magnificent Gallery artwork, which is satin stitched in Navy Blue on Arctic White thread. The Gallery artwork features 43,096 stitches that have been meticulously arranged to enhance the play of light and shadow on the surface texture. The passenger panel also pays tribute to the pattern.

Blue grey, navy blue, and Arctic white leather piping, headrest monograms, and contrast stitching adorn the front and rear reclining seats. A modern, tactile finish that highlights the wood's inherent grain, open-pore Obsidian Ayous is used as the door veneer.

The exotic South American locales that served as inspiration for the Spectre 'Escapism' were evoked by the car's daring paint scheme. The Lantana Flower, whose bright red blossoms are thought to bring good fortune, is referenced in the joyful Lantana Red that finishes the two-tone exterior. A subdued Tempest Grey is used to depict the top part and coachline. The 23-inch wheels, which are part-polished and have seven spokes, are complemented with Lantana Red centre paint. A Spirit of Ecstasy figure, delicately lit, completes the outside coachwork design.

Sunset leathers, Purple Silk, and Selby Grey adorn the inside. The seat piping, contrast stitching, and headrest monograms are all chosen at sunset. The Starlight Headliner showcases 960 Sunset-colored fibre-optic "stars" topped with eight white "shooting stars" made of 192 fibre-optic lights. The purple instrument dials and Obsidian Ayous veneer go hand in hand with the Purple Silk steering wheel and spokes.

When it comes to Bespoke customisation, the Rolls-Royce Ghost offers the most pristine blank slate. The exterior hue of Ghost, the 'Expressionism' commission's 'Boracay Blue,' evokes the sunsets over Boracay Island and unleashes its creative character. This vibrant Bespoke shade represents the one-of-a-kind shades seen when the sun goes down and the sky seems to merge with the Sulu Sea at dusk. An accentuation of one lime green coachline, delicately evoking the tropical flora and wildlife of Boracay Island, completes the look. Partially polished 21-inch alloy wheels with White pinstripe tyres and Lime Green pinstripes complete the appearance. The wheels have Orbit Grey centres.

Lime green details stand out against the black and icy white leather upholstery inside. The headrest monograms, contrast stitching, seat and door piping, and overall colour scheme all use the later shade.

An embroidered heavenly design in lime green adorns the inside door pockets. Using two opposing stitching techniques, the craftsmen of the marque added texture and depth to this beautiful statement of contemporary workmanship. The needlework subtly adds depth by contrasting the stitch's direction and angle, drawing attention to the pocket's curvature. All four doors require a total of 104,268 stitches.

A striking abstract wave pattern like silk in the breeze echoes the embroidered design on the doors and adorns the Starlight Headliner above. The pattern is crafted with 520 whitestars' and 520 lime greenstars,' with eight white shooting stars' that trace the design's curves.
