SINOT SUPERYACHT: Less Formal, More Genuine, More Like A Home
Poetry, the latest project from Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, is a 130-metre unique superyacht concept made with a breath of fresh air in terms of design, with the owner’s perspective taking the lead. By defying yachting norms, Poetry helps owners see their visions realised.
You can enjoy a life on the water with your family that is in perfect harmony with the aquatic environment by purchasing a private yacht. Poetry is an innovative example of Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design’s emphasis on the individuality of each client. An innovative idea that showcases Sinot’s approach to design integration. Designer Sander Sinot: “We challenged ourselves to create a concept that fully accommodates the desires and lifestyle of the owner without compromising the yacht’s design. For Poetry, we worked from a new design vision, creating a concept depicting the owner’s dreams. Less formal, more genuine, more like a home.”
“Poetry represents a next generation yacht design”, Sander Sinot explains. “The strong exterior lines of Poetry are driven by hydrodynamics and architecture—a solid nautical platform, hosting an open-space plan defined by three-dimensional thinking, to precisely accommodate functions, needs, and desires. Transparency and openness are the hallmarks of the superstructure, offering undisturbed views and unobstructed deck space fore, aft, port, and starboard side.” Poetry furthermore reinvents yacht design by relocating the wheelhouse to a more functional spot at the bow. “This makes the prime location of Poetry, the highest deck, available to the most important user: the owner”, Sander Sinot explains. “Since privacy is key, the owner’s deck is highly secluded – no crew, guests or others need be on this deck, unless invited. The owner and his or her loved ones have the entire deck for themselves.”
Poetry is created to optimise the use of space aboard. Sinot: “This is a new, thematic approach to yacht design that starts with the dreams of the owner. For him or her we explore the inner values of space and how we live our lives with a mixture of elements that people normally do not think about.” This idea was conceived in light of the options available to travelers at resorts, where they can choose between relaxing alone or spending time with loved ones. “By moving the wheelhouse to a new location, we could create a genuine private area to be enjoyed by the owner.”
Aboard Poetry, the sun and daylight serve as the poem’s metre and are prized for their comforting brightness and tempting warmth. Massive deck superstructures provide shade and wind protection. Deckheads with movable shades filter and direct natural light indoors; artificial lighting takes over after sunset. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows and six enormous fold-down hatches at the lower deck Beach Club creates a seamless transition between the interior and exterior, fostering a profound sense of oneness with the water. The enormous outside decks gradually slope down to the sea, culminating in an exterior beach and infinity pool on the aft deck. Swimming platforms that may be extended into the water can serve as a place to dock private limo tenders.
Light, both natural and artificial, has a crucial role in Poetry, serving to define space, highlight details, and establish tone. Lighting is carefully planned to create scenes that are both practical and subtly supportive of social gatherings. At night, the directed shades installed in the deckheads cast a soft illumination that helps soften the transition between the indoors and outdoors. Designer Sander Sinot: “It is a poetic way to enlighten our lives with a mixture of elements we usually do not think about.”
Ultra-customised exterior and interior features will give a sense of timeless quality thanks to the harmonious union of minimalist purity of form and classical proportionality. Consider that the finest builders, artists, and craftsmen have spent years creating a custom yacht that exactly reflects the tastes and interests of a single owner. High standards of craftsmanship, including the use of sustainable and recycled materials and the incorporation of cutting-edge technology.
Poetry can accommodate up to 14 passengers in her four standard staterooms, two VIP staterooms, and one owner’s suite. The owner’s pavilion enjoys a commanding position atop Poetry, on the top deck. Private dining with an open kitchen, a large multi-media theatre, and an exploration area for plotting courses with the captain may all be found on the deck below. VIP suites and guest cabins on the main deck have bed configurations aligned with the yacht’s axis, assuring unobstructed views of the water. These cabins also feature private loggias and, at the yacht’s bow, a cutting-edge wheelhouse styled as a cockpit with frontal and side views. Large semi-outdoor dining and lounge areas may be found towards the aft, adjacent to the external deck and infinity pool.
Poetry’s new layout incorporates the desires, dreams, and appreciation of the yacht’s owner to create a Grand Space of Wellbeing on the yacht’s lower deck interior, including a Beach Club and its surrounding areas, a Hammam and Sauna serving as the entrance to a massive gym, and a Beauty Salon complete with stations for hair, nails, and massages. Everything was planned to promote physical and emotional well-being for the owner and their loved ones, friends, and guests by simulating a private resort and maximising the benefits of being near water.
The Beach Club of Poetry is more than just a place to have fun and throw a great party; it’s also a place to relax before or after a day at the spa, a workout, or a trip to the salon. There is a tiny bar on the hatch that has a balcony overlooking the water and sells drinks and modest meals. The numerous sofas, chairs, and chaise lounges dispersed throughout the area can accommodate every type of meeting.
The sea pool is the pinnacle of relaxation; it is constructed by lowering one of the hatches below sea level, extending a filtering bulwark, and letting the seawater surge in for a thrilling saltwater swim. Because of the height of the huge vista, which is two stories, it is an ideal location for massive works of art. The exquisite circular staircase at the end, which leads down into the blue wonders of the ocean from the main deck area, is adorned with a stunning glass art piece.
Over the years, Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design has come up with a number of ideas that are currently in various phases of development. Poetry is an innovative take on yacht design, with the wheelhouse moved to a more practical place at the bow. This frees up the yacht’s most desirable real estate for the owner to enjoy.
