Gros Islet ‘Jump Up’ Street Party (2-3 hrs)

In Saint Lucia, Friday night is typically fish supper night. They have made that into a weekly justification for a celebration in the tiny town of Gros Islet, which is only 10 minutes’ drive from Cap Maison. In the colourful fishing town’s winding streets, people light up their grills every Friday night throughout the summer to welcome throngs of revellers who will partake in a night of mouthwatering grilled fish and regional specialities, unlimited rum, and a variety of arts and crafts. Caribbean sounds play till the wee hours of the morning as tourists and residents dance in the streets.

Rum Distillery Trip (2-3 hrs)

Guests may find out what makes Saint Lucian rum so unique by going to St. Lucia’s Distillers in Roseau Valley. More than 25 distinct rums are produced at the distillery, including the well-known brands Chairman’s Reserve, Bounty, and even Cap Maison’s own 10-year-old Solera rum that is matured exclusively on-site. Visitors get the opportunity to sample up to 17 different rums in the rum-buffet tasting area that follows the tour.
