Two Michelin Star Chef Presents Culinary Theatre of Dreams.

This November, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, a luxurious resort in the Maldives, will welcome a very special guest chef to its award-winning SEA Underwater Restaurant, pushing the boundaries of what it does to create extraordinary guest experiences on its secluded island paradise. Renowned two-star chef Mano Thevar will be serving up two extraordinary evenings of culinary treats for resort guests on November 13 and 14.

Co-owner of Thevar, a two Michelin-starred Modern Indian restaurant in Singapore, Chef Mano Thevar is in charge of the culinary spectacular. Thevar specializes in a sophisticated multi-course meal that is founded in Indian traditions and developed with European methods and Japanese products. Now, in November, Chef Mano will present the Culinary Theatre of Dreams at Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, taking his Michelin-starred performance on the road.

Chef Mano, who was up in the colorful and varied Penang, Malaysia, draws inspiration from his Indian background when he blends contemporary European cooking methods with fresh, in-season ingredients to create a mouthwatering interplay of flavors. He began his career as a chef in the Michelin-starred Waku Ghin and Guy Savoy restaurants before founding Thevar in 2019. As of right now, Chef Mano is the first chef from Malaysia to have received two Michelin stars.

In November, Chef Mano will be entertaining diners at Anantara Kihavah with a Culinary Theatre of Dreams at SEA Underwater Restaurant, taking his Michelin-starred performance on the road. Located six meters beneath the surface, the renowned SEA restaurant will take patrons on a unique sensory experience, letting them enjoy fine dining in the midst of the stunning Maldivian underwater environment.

As part of the much awaited Culinary Theatre of Dreams, the culinary journey kicks out on November 13, 2023, with the first of two nights of underwater dining at the resort's famous SEA Underwater Restaurant. The highly anticipated event, which will cost USD 325++ per person, will feature a special six-course cuisine created by Chef Mano especially for this occasion. Guests will have the option of choosing between wine pairing and non-wine pairing experiences.
