Windjammer Landing: A Thoughtful Approach to Coastal Living.
Following an imaginative refurbishment to the Mediterranean-style 65-acre site that was completed at a cost of several millions of dollars, the premium Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort in St. Lucia has debuted a new design. The resort, which is located in the glitzy hills of the island's Labrelotte Bay, has recently undergone extensive renovations, which have resulted in the inclusion of new features such as the revitalization of upgraded luxury estate villas, new Ocean Point Residences, a revamped lobby, an innovative culinary programme, and updated suites.
The new design of Caribbean-meets-Mediterranean and coastal features makes use of soft neutrals and bursts of St. Lucia's signature shade of blue. The island's location, which is halfway between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, served as inspiration for this design. In order to create contrast across the rooms, custom-made wooden furnishings such as Mindi and Teak have been included in the design. Furthermore, natural rope and rattan furniture have been employed to turn the outside area into a fashionable sanctuary. The revitalization of the resort, which cost twelve million dollars and was completed in celebration of the property's thirty-first year of continuous operation since its inauguration in 1989, pays respect to the resort's roots by shifting the emphasis back to the peaceful atmosphere of the beach getaway.
“For over 30 years, St. Lucia’s Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort has attracted visitors from around the globe seeking a one-of-a-kind experience. Our high-touch service and Mediterranean meets Caribbean ambience provide travellers with the best of both worlds,” said Nick Prattas, Managing Director of Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort. “Demand for private villa accommodations have almost doubled since the start of the pandemic, and now with the resurgence of travel, we want to ensure our guests are met with a thoughtful approach to coastal living, serving up the very best from service to style for a trip to remember.”
The magnificent architecture of the lobby, which consists of high vaulted ceiling beams and an open-air idea, has been reimagined as an area in which guests may mix and engage with one another. The updated appearance will improve the guest check-in experience and bring the resort's heart to life by including magnificent chandeliers, modern furnishings, marble flooring, a new reception area, an ambassadors lounge, and a concept coffee bar by day and a wine bar by night. Additionally, the updated style will include the addition of a new reception room.
The newly renovated luxury estate villas at the resort are part of a collection that has been given the name the Manor Collection. These villas are located at the very top of the hillside and are equipped with in-ground swimming pools. The Presidential Manor, which is part of the collection and will be shown later this year, will be the largest villa on the property and will measure more than 4000 square feet. It will include a swimming pool measuring 45 feet by 20 feet, a driveway, and an ancillary living area that is ideal for accommodating extended families or groups of friends.
In addition, visitors may now take advantage of the recently constructed Ocean Point Residences, which provide a variety of luxury beachfront villas with either two or three bedrooms. Each villa in this series features a private infinity pool, various outside patios, fully furnished kitchens, artwork by local artists that depicts Caribbean culture and nature, as well as other amenities such as smart technology and more. The guests will have a wonderful time in the contemporary and Mediterranean-style accommodations, which include a seamless combination of island sensations and a luxurious vacation. A brand-new building known as the "Ocean Point Club House" has been created specifically for the convenience of visitors staying at the Ocean Point Residence. This building features a private check-in room as well as a dedicated concierge desk.
Culinary Director Aurelien Duarte and Executive Chef Sebastian Francis are in charge of the upgraded culinary programme at Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort. It features chic upgrades to design elements and refreshed menus for restaurants such as Papa Don's (dinner-only Mediterranean), Jammers (all-day beachside dining), Upper Deck (dinner-only legendary steakhouse), and now 'Masala at Embers,' which serves up authentic Indian cuisine and is led by Chef Vikrham Singh. Fine dining at Upper Deck mimics the atmosphere of a contemporary steakhouse and features melancholy touches, such as a wine bar that will soon be introduced to the public. Luxury accents, such as fire pits and refined coastal furnishings, have been added to the recently redesigned Jammers restaurant, which serves food throughout the day and is located beachfront. Each establishment gives back to the community by purchasing goods from area farmers and fishermen and serving only the most recent catch.
Dragonfly, the resort's hallmark restaurant, has recently emerged from a significant refurbishment and is now open for breakfast in addition to supper service. In addition, the new restaurant now has a rooftop bar and lounge called "The Perch by Dragonfly," which has hand-painted murals by a local Caribbean artist named Sandy Layne. These paintings portray the picturesque breakwater views from the restaurant. The Perch is set to become the newest hot spot in St. Lucia, where locals and tourists alike will mingle over some of the most innovative cocktails and menu offerings, such as our Piri Piri King Prawns, Hot & Spicy Eggplant, and our Spices of Lucian cocktail, all while taking in breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. Locals and tourists alike are expected to congregate at The Perch in the near future.
The well-known spa at Windjammer Landing has a new name: Serene Wellness & Spa. This new name better reflects the expansive selection of enticing, equilibrium-restoring rituals and treatments that are offered to support both physical and spiritual practises. The comprehensive approach to detoxification and immunity that is included in the standout feature packages includes measures that may be taken to shift to a healthier way of living.
