In 1988, as a result of the ban on fine arts, the home was designated as a National Monument of Modern Architecture. Carlo Luigi Daneri, a student of Le Corbusier, created it in 1934 and finished it in 1938. It is considered to be one of the most authentic instances of the rationalist movement.
Soon after the villa was constructed, it was featured in the Italian publications “Costruzioni Casabella” (October 1940) and “Domus” (January 1941), and it was also featured in “Abitare” (March 1983 and October 2023) in the years that followed. A collection of Roman and Byzantine art is displayed at the entrance of the villa, which has also played home to some of the most well-known figures in the fields of art and architecture, as well as advertisements and films produced by Netflix.
