A Modern Reflection of the Coastal Resort Lifestyle.
With the opening of Virador Beach Club, a barefoot luxury retreat; the transformation of Kids For All Seasons; and an Arnold Palmer Signature Golf course renovation emphasizing sustainability, Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo is introducing a contemporary reflection of the coastal resort lifestyle.
The Peninsula Papagayo developers Mohari and Gencom are in charge of the project, and they have collaborated with Four Seasons to create a tranquil sense of luxury. A world-wide design group is developing a resort experience with a foundation of design that draws inspiration from the surroundings while emphasizing ecological principles. During August and October 2023, the resort's operations will be temporarily suspended. Bookings for stays at Peninsula Papagayo will be accepted beginning November 1, 2023.
"Our guests choose us for our personalized service, connection to nature, great beaches and attention to detail," said Ian-Robert Ciappara, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo. "The creation of the Virador Beach Club, the Wellness Shala and the complete transformation of Kids For All Seasons, as well as golf renovation, will enhance the guest's experience, giving them even more reason to return to our slice of paradise."
Virador Beach Club is a retreat away from the resort happenings with the effortless barefoot luxury of an Eastern Mediterranean beachside getaway. The outdoor spaces come to life with an oceanside eatery and lounge focused on Mediterranean flavors, while adults can expect to enjoy an infinity-edge pool and private cabanas.
Jorge Borja, the principal architect of Grupo BV, located in Mexico, is a pioneer in building masterpieces of coastal elegance utilizing light natural materials to produce organic beauty. He is the winner of the 2023 International Property Awards, Five Star Best Architecture.
Fashion designer Kris Goyri, who is based in Mexico City, created a limited-edition staff costume. Goyri's exquisite designs, which combine classic and contemporary elements, perfectly blend flair and sensuality.
The mood is set with a specially crafted soundtrack by Gray V, music design; during the day, gentle house rhythms celebrate the beach club's bohemian vibe; in the nights, Latin and eclectic drum-forward sounds will liven things up.
The Wellness Shala is a spiritual place where visitors may find peace and connect with nature. The supple flow and motions of the Guanacaste winds had an impact on the creators of Arquitectura Mixta, Luis Alejandro Cuesta and Javier Creuheras, as they imagined a distinctive architectural environment. To create the multidisciplinary design, Cuesta and Creuheras focus on bio-architecture and work with local artisans to build a sustainable structure that is one with nature.
The Wellness Shala is positioned comfortably apart from the resort high on the hills and intended for visitors to re-connect and discover inner calm. Visitors to The Wellness Shala are engaged in experiences that synchronize the body, mind, and soul with the rich components of this region. It serves as a bridge between contemporary wellness methods and ancient traditions.
Kids For All Seasons will receive a total makeover under the direction of Polyanna Paraskeva of Polyanna & Partners, with inspiration drawn from the flora and wildlife of the enchanted mangroves of Peninsula Papagayo. With the Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo, the architect from Athens, who has designed practical learning spaces specifically for kids around Europe, makes her debut in Latin America.
"Children learn through play and this transformation will promote sensory development, social skills, and problem-solving abilities," said the architect Polyanna Paraskeva.
Children may crawl or walk on low-lying platforms that mimic the mangrove roots that surround the resort thanks to Paraskeva's ideas. She mimics the rich and diverse ecosystems with natural materials, and the brightly colored furniture is built from environmentally friendly materials to entice kids to play and explore. Walls that can be moved about and are flexible help to create a space that combines technology, the arts, and science.
The Ocean Course at Peninsula Papagayo is an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary with sustainability at its core and is well-known for its diverse fauna, significant elevation changes, and panoramic ocean views. The makeover of the 18-hole, par-72 Arnold Palmer Signature course and driving range is coming to an end, and it included the installation of a precise watering system that will use 20% less water.
More teeing areas and 12 acres of native flora with fewer bunkers are other enhancements that will increase playability and make the course more strategically sound and aesthetically pleasing. The Golf Pro and Tennis store will offer a freshly built retail space and lounge area for golfers in addition to the course modifications.
"We are thrilled to bring more sustainable practices to the Ocean Course," said Dakota Smith, Director of Golf. "The updates will conserve a significant amount of water while adding beauty, color and texture to the landscape mosaic,"
