The idea for the hotel, which was conceptualised by André Fu Studio, came from André's own reflections on Taipei, a contemporary city that contrasts a vibrant urban environment with lyrical locale. André's vision is characterised by the integration of modern conveniences, lifestyle entertainment, and wellness into an urban setting that captures the essence of a getaway.

Capella Taipei is an innovative interpretation of the capital city it calls home that deftly blends contemporary design with the hotel chain's long-term goal of providing guests with an experience that is equal parts traditional, exploratory, unique, and surprising. Everything about it is exquisitely crafted, from the bold outside elements to the minute internal details, and it is imbued with Fu's own language of casual luxury, which is quite current.

The Grill, the flagship restaurant at Capella Taipei, will use cutting-edge grilling, ageing, and smoking processes to create a seasonal menu influenced by French cuisine and incorporating sustainably produced, farm-to-table ingredients. The Patisserie serves gourmet breads and coffee roasted in-house, creating an atmosphere that is equal parts art gallery and bakery. A world-class Japanese omakase restaurant and genuine Cantonese food with hints of Taiwan round out the experience.

In addition, a two-story spot will shortly unveil some new bar-centric concepts in addition to a lively ground floor focusing on mixology.

On the upper level, you'll find Capella Wellness, a space that offers traditional therapeutic therapies and Capella's distinctive moon-themed products. There are four treatment rooms available to guests, as well as a fitness studio with the newest Technogym products and an outdoor heated pool.
